Manitoba politicians have mixed reviews about yesterday's throne speech.

Brandon East MLA Drew Caldwell says it was short but gave a firm and positive direction the province is heading down the road.

Sprucewoods MLA Cliff Cullen said the speech was a rehash of what we heard during the election campaign. Cullen is worried about how the promises will be paid for and how it will impact manitobans and their wallets.

Arthur-Virden MLA Larry Maguire says there were a number of positive items in the speech sdealing with health care and education. However there were some key issues that didn't make it into the speech.

This is a brief session in the legislature. MLA's will wrap up this session the first week in November. All that's left is to debate the throne speech.
