The Manitoba Moose opened their seven-game road trip with a 3-0 loss to the Hamilton Bulldogs. Winnipeg's Dustin Boyd scored all three Hamilton goals and former Moose netminder Curtis Sanford stopped 31 shots in recording the shutout. Manitoba goaltender Tyler Weiman faced 32 shots. The 9:30 a.m. puck drop was scheduled as the Bulldogs hosted their first ever School Day game with over 10,000 local students in attendance. The Moose, who are now three points back of Hamilton in the race for first place in the American Hockey League's North Division, will meet the Americans in Rochester on Friday.
