Sergei Shirokov scored 33 seconds into overtime as the Manitoba Moose edged the Heat 2-1 in Abbotsford. Kevin Connauton also scored for Manitoba. Tyler Weiman, who stopped 27 shots in Mondays 4-0 victory over the Heat, stopped another 34 last night. The Moose won their 20th game of the season and moved with one point of the American Hockey League's North Division leading Hamilton Bulldogs. Manitoba will begin an eight-game homestand this weekend when they face the defending Calder Cup champion Hershey Bears at MTS Centre in Winnipeg.
