The Neepawa Natives gave up five first period goals including four in the span of 5:35 late in the frame and lost 5-2 to the Winkler Flyers on Saturday. Justin Dalebozik and Jordan Palusky did the goal scoring for the Natives who outshot the Flyers 34-29. Brandon native Blair Osiowy had a goal and an assist for Winkler. Neepawa is idle until Wednesday when they'll meet the Waywayseecappo Wolverines at the Yellowhead Centre. The Natives are six points back of the Swan Valley Stampeders who hold down fourth place in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League's Sher-Wood Division. Neepawa is just one point ahead of the sixth place Wolverines.
