Brandon Tourism has launched their new website, showcasing the many things we love about the Wheat City!

Director, Lanny Stewart, says it took longer than expected, but it was well worth the wait, and it’s brought lots of positive feedback from their stakeholders and the community as a whole.

In designing the website, Stewart was able to tap into his own experience and passion in writing.

“The purpose of refreshing the site was really to try and make it more content-driven,” he explains.  “We’re trying to utilize my background a bit more. A lot of people who know me, know that I have a journalism background.  So, we wanted to incorporate a lot of feature stories of our stakeholders, some Q & A’s, some itineraries and things to do in the City, factoring in that a lot of major urban markets do something very similar.”

“So, we wanted to do something along those lines and let people know that there are a lot of things to do here in the city.”

“Not only that,” he adds.  “We’ve got a lot of things, add-ons and highlights, to make the site that much better.”

One can become a ‘Brandon-insider’ by signing up for regular newsletters sharing what’s coming up in Brandon, sent directly to your email address.  For those wanting the latest Brandon Tourism Guide, simply contact Brandon Tourism and one will be mailed to your post office box.

“Over-all we’re very pleased with the product and we feel its going to be very beneficial for everybody!”

Stewart says a site of this nature is often high traffic as they provide information that covers a large area.

“The majority of tourism sites for urban markets tend to have a fairly high traffic number, and that’s largely because we are an urban area and there’s a lot of people who come into the city and a lot of people want to know information on many things,” shares Stewart. “Our website has basically everything you need right at your fingertips!”
