RCMP search uncovers illegal cannabis distribution center

On April 30, 2024, as a result of an ongoing investigation into the illegal operation of a cannabis store out of a personal residence, RCMP officers from the Manitoba North District Crime Reduction Enforcement Support Team (CREST) and the Flin Flon RCMP executed a search warrant pursuant to the Cannabis Act at a residence located on Princess Blvd in Flin Flon.

As a result of this search, officers seized over $430,000.00 of product including a large quantity of dried cannabis, over $90,000 in cash, thousands of individually packaged cannabis gummies, hundreds of cannabis infused chocolate bars, hundreds of vials of shatter, cannabis extracts, resins and other cannabis derivates, multiple pounds of psilocybin and 25 firearms.

All cannabis products seized on site did not contain the proper Manitoba Taxation stamps.

RCMP arrested a 42-year-old male and a 23-year-old female on scene who were later released from police custody for a court appearance scheduled for August 1, 2024, in Flin Flon where they will face charges of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, numerous Firearm’s Act offences as well as offences under the Cannabis Act.
