An entry from Reston's Elementary School was a winner in the RCMP's "Name the Foal Contest".

Kim Mckenzie is the librarian at Reston Elementary School. This past May she sat down with a class to come up with the winning name.

Each spring the RCMP asks Canadians under the age of 14 to submit names for 6 of the foals born at the their breeding farm in Ontario.

Names this year had to start with “H”.

Winners get an RCMP stetson, colour photo of the foal they named and certificate signed by the RCMP Commissioner.
