On April 2nd, 2024, police arrested a 24-year-old female for assault. On May 23,2023 there was a school division meeting held at an institution on McDiarmid Drive.  There were two opposing sides at the meeting. A 40-year-old male reported he was assaulted by the female. No serious injuries were reported. The investigative file was sent to the crown attorney for an opinion and the crown recommended a charge of assault be laid. The accused will appear in court on May 30th, 2024.

On April 3rd at 02:44 am Police received a call from a 41-year-old female reporting she had been assaulted by a 39-year-old male known to her. She also advised the male stole her purse. The male was arrested, and he was also found to be on an order to have no contact with the female. He was held for court on April 3rd, 2024.


Arrest Warrant

On April 2nd at 1:40 pm a 20-year-old male turned himself into Brandon Police as he was aware he had an outstanding warrant for failing to comply with his probation. He was arrested and released for court on June 3rd, 2024.

On April 2nd at 2:55 pm Police were dealing with an unrelated matter in the 1200 block of 20th street when they came upon a 28-year-old male who had an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court. He was arrested and held for court on April 3rd, 2024.


Break and Enter

On April 3rd at 04:50 am while on patrol police came across a broken window in a business in the 600 block of Rosser Avenue. The suspects smashed out a display case within the business that contained watches. The number of items missing is not currently known. This incident is still under investigation.
