Killarney-Turtle Mountain has picked up a 20 thousand dollar Community Places grant from the province.
Mayor Rick Pauls outlines where that money will be used.

Pauls adds having the parking lot paved will save on maintainence costs from people dragging in mud on their shoes when they enter the building.
It will also make the building look a lot more professional, which Pauls says it should as it's one of the nicest in southwestern Manitoba.

A number of Westman groups received funding through the province's community places program.
A total of 506,000 dollars will go to 46 projects across the region.
