Much of Southern Manitoba is under a special weather statement with the forecast calling for rain.

More wet weather on the way for southern Manitoba today.

A low pressure system tracking northward out of the Dakotas will bring widespread rainfall amounts of 20 to 30 mm to areas of southern Manitoba that are currently dealing with saturated soils and flooding concerns. Rain will begin this morning and taper off this evening. There is also the potential for embedded thunderstorms so precipitation amounts could be locally higher.

The unsettled weather will continue through much of the week, with multiple chances for showers, although less widespread in nature than the system today.
