The Winnipeg South Wolves are Baseball Manitoba 18U AAA Tier One champions. The Wolves defeated the Carillon Sultans 9-3 Sunday afternoon at Charleswood Park and earned the right to represent our province at Baseball Canada's National 18U championship in Fort McMurray from August 17th-20th. Oildome lost 14-3 to St. James and 13-9 to Elmwood on Sunday and finished the round robin with an 0-5 record. Bonivital shutout Interlake 10-0 and captured the Tier Two championship. 


The West Winnipeg A's won Baseball Manitoba's Senior AA Provincial Championship Sunday in Morden. The A's downed the Oak River Dodgers 10-4 in the semifinals and the Brandon Young Guns 10-6 in the gold medal game. The Boissevain Centennials were 1-2 in the round robin. 


The Winnipeg Goldeyes gave up four runs in the top of the third inning and lost 6-4 to the Fargo-Moorhead Redhawks. Miles Simington and Dayson Croes homered for the Fish who have lost three in a row. 


Canada has been eliminated at the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup. The reigning Olympic champions, who needed a win or a draw in their final Group Stage match to advance to the knockout-round, lost 4-0 to co-host Australia in Melbourne. Nigeria and Australia move on to the round of 16 out of Group B.
