Devon LeBlanc, Tyler Dittmer and Zeanan Ziemer scored during a four-minute-span of the second period as Boissevain beat the Bombers 4-1 in Minnedosa. Josh Elmes also scored for the Border Kings who lead the Tiger Hills Hockey League's best-of-five final two games to none. Ryan Heino had the lone goal for the Bombers. Tyan Mykula had two goals and two assists as the Swan Valley Tigers beat the Hamiota/Rivers/Elton/Strathclair Huskies 5-3 in the deciding third game of the Westman High School Hockey League's consolation final.


Sophia Anderson, Mia McGregor and Callie Rice did the goal scoring and Grace Glover made 26 saves as the Westman Wildcats downed the Winnipeg Ice 3-1at Bell MTS Iceplex and now lead Manitoba Female U18 AAA Hockey League best-of-five final two games to none. Game three goes Friday in Hartney


The Brandon Wheat Kings will meet the Winnipeg Wild in the Manitoba U18 AAA Hockey League final. Clarke Caswell had two goals and an assist and Mason Lobreau made 29 saves as Brandon blanked the Parkland Rangers 7-0. The Wild downed the Eastman Selects 5-2. The Wheat Kings and Wild swept those best-of-five semifinals in three straight.


Bailey Monteith made 37 saves as Virden edged Waywayseecappo 4-3 at Tundra Oil & Gas Place. Braden Fischer, Tyler Thoendel, Nathan Driver and Evan Groening did the goal scoring for the Oil Capitals who lead the Manitoba Junior Hockey League's best-of-seven opening round series two games to none. Game three goes Thursday at Waywayseecappo.


Conor Geekie and Matthew Savoie each had a goal and an assist as the Winnipeg Ice downed the Prince Albert Raiders 5-2. Chase Wheatcroft, Mikey Milne and Connor McClennon also scored for the Ice. 


Mark Scheifele scored with 14 second left in the opening period and then potted the game winner with 9.7 seconds remaining in overtime to lift the Winnipeg Jets past the Arizona Coyotes 2-1 at Canada Life Centre. Connor Hellebuyck made 28 saves. The Jets will face the Sabres in Buffalo on Wednesday and then play their final game of the month Thursday against the Maple Leafs in Toronto.


Silvana Tirinzoni of Switzerland edged EunJung Kim of Korea 7-6 in the gold medal game at the 2022 World Women's Curling Championship in Prince George. Kerri Einarson, Val Sweeting, Shannon Birchard and Brianne Meilleur won bronze. The reigning three-time Canadian champions outscored Anna Hasselborg of Sweden 8-7 in an extra end.


Jordon McDonald has a 4-1 record; Tansy Tober is 2-1; Morgan Maguet is 1-2 and Aaron Van Ryssel is 1-3 at the Canadian Junior Curling Championships in Stratford, Ontario.
