The Reston Tigers defeated the Major Pratt Trojans 25-23, 25-23 in the final of the Boissevain Broncos junior varsity girls volleyball tournament. The host Broncos win the third place game 25-22, 25-21 over Prairie Mountain. The Carberry Cougars beat the Major Pratt Trojans 21-25, 25-20, 15-12 in the final of the Elton Sabres varsity boys volleyball tournament. The host Cougars swept Souris 25-13, 25-6 in the final of the Carberry varsity girls volleyball tournament. Major Pratt beat the host Huskies 25-8, 26-24 in the final of the Hamiota varsity girls Invitational volleyball tournament and the Killarney Raiders beat Dufferin Christian 21-25, 25-21, 15-13 in the final of the MCI junior varsity girls volleyball tournament in Gretna.


The Carman Cougars edged the Dauphin Clippers 4-3 in the final of the Glenboro/Carberry/Baldur Wildcats pre-season hockey tournament. The Boissevain Broncos lost 2-1 to St. Thomas in the third place game. 


The Southwest Cougars gave up three power play goals and lost 5-3 to the Eastman Selects Sunday in Souris. Jayce Thompson, Nate Robson and Dawson Andries did the goal scoring for the Cougars who received a 44-save performance from Evan Svoboda. Southwest lead 2-1 after the first period and trailed 4-3 after 40 minutes. 


Hayley Kolosky scored twice and Grace Glover made 15 saves as the Westman Wildcats defeated the Winnipeg Ice 3-2 at Bell MTS Iceplex. Reese Schutte also scored for the defending Manitoba Female U18 AAA Hockey League champions who are 5-0 on the road this season and 0-2 at home. 


Trevor Hunt and Colton Miller scored second period power play goals in the Virden Oil Capitals 5-4 victory over the Niverville Nighthawks at Tundra Ol & Gas Place. Naton Miller, Brody Wilson and Josh Lehto with his team leading seventh goal of the season also scored for the Oil Capitals. Virden netminder Owen LaRocque made 28 saves. 


Oskari Salminen stopped 32 shots including 15 in the first period as the Manitoba Moose blanked the Rockford IceHogs 4-0 at Canada Life Centre. Winnipeg Jets 2022 first round pick Brad Lambert tallied his first AHL goal in the victory. Jansen Harkins recorded the shorthanded game-winner late in the second period.
