Carberry is at the AA girls qualifier in Elton and the AA boys qualifier in Rosenort. Killarney is at the AA girls qualifier in Warren.
The Boissevain Border Kings, Killarney Shamrocks, Pilot Mound Pilots, Minnedosa Bombers and Virden Oil Kings were winners in the Tiger Hills Hockey League Friday night. Tanner Clyne had a goal and two assists as the Border Kings edged the Deloraine Royals 4-3; Reid Gow had three goals and an assist as the Shamrocks downed the Hartney Blues 7-3; Ted Lea made 25 saves in the Pilots 4-1 victory over the Wawanesa Jets; Pilot Mound beat Wawanesa 4-1; Shane Jury had a hat trick and Matt Saler had a goal and three helpers as the Bombers beat the MacGregor Wild 4-1 and Jeremy Johnson and Devon LeBlanc scored three goals each as the Oil Kings bounced the Rivers Jets 9-4.
Westman High School Hockey League – Riley Davie had a goal and two assists as the Neepawa Tigers doubled up on Killarney/Wawanesa 4-2 and Ozy Atkinson had four goals and an assist as Minnesoda/Erickson downed Birtle/Shoal Lake/Rossburn 7-4.
The Southwest Cougars rallied from a 2-0 deficit and beat the Pembina Valley Hawks 4-2 in Souris. Jack Clark scored twice for the Cougars. His successful penalty shot attempt 7:16 into the third period tied the game at 2-2 and his second of the night on the power play midway through the final frame gave Southwest its first lead of the game. Sebastian Stone and Nate Robson into an empty net with 33 seconds left also scored for the Cougars. Evan Svoboda made 27 saves.
The Brandon Wheat Kings defeated the Edmonton Oil Kings 5-2 at Westoba Place. Jayden Wiens, Luke Shipley, Nate Danielson, Brett Hyland and Dominik Petr did the goal scoring for the Wheat Kings who lead 5-0 early in the third period.
Cole Perfetti extended his goal streak to five games and Connor Hellebuyck made 26 saves as the Winnipeg Jets edged the Buffalo Sabres 3-2 at Canada Life Centre. Mason Appleton and Nikolaj Ehlers also scored for the Jets who wrap up their five-game homestand tonight against the Arizona Coyotes.
Thomas Milic made 26 saves as the Manitoba Moose shaded the Belleville Senators 3-2 and snapped their five-game losing skid. Nikita Chibrikov, C.J. Suess and Wyatt Bongiovanni did the goal scoring for the Moose.
