Drew Jones and Brad Pardy of the Shilo Country Club captured the 2022 Manitoba Men’s Four Ball Championship. Jones and Pardy combined for a 7-under par 65 Tuesday at the Southwood Golf & Country Club. Their round included nine birdies, including four straight on holes 14 through 17, propelling the team to a two-shot victory over Todd Fanning and Jay Doyle of the Niakwa Country Club. Jay Sunaert and Mitch Olson of Deloraine finished in a tie for 30th place at plus five. 

The Manitoba Junior Hockey League's two undefeated teams are inside the top five of the Canadian Junior Hockey League's initial Top 20 Rankings for the 2022-23 season. The Steinbach Pistons, who are off to a 5-0 start, are number two while the Virden Oil Capitals are ranked fourth. The Oil Capitals are 4-0 on the season. The Ontario Junior Hockey League's Collingwood Blues are number one. 

Daniel Torgersson scored twice and Connor Hellebuyck made 24 saves as the Winnipeg Jets defeated the Ottawa Senators 5-3 at Canada Life Centre. Torgersson, who was chosen by Winnipeg in the second round of the 2020 NHL Draft, opened the scoring at 13:55 of the first period and then potted his second of the night at 15:11 of the middle frame which gave the Jets a 3-2 lead. Mikey Eyssimont and Ville Heinola scored second period power play goals for Winnipeg while Kyle Connor had a goal and two assists. The Jets play their third of six exhibition games Thursday in Montreal against the Canadiens. 

CurlManitoba has announced the venues for the 2024 Scotties Tournament of Hearts and the Viterra Championship. The 2024 Scotties will be held at the Access Event Centre in Morden and the Viterra Championship will be played for the first time in Stonewall at the Veteran’s Memorial Sports Complex. Morden previously hosted the Provincial Women's Curling Championship in 2003. The 2023 Scotties and Viterra Championship will be held in East St. Paul and Neepawa respectively.
