Super saturated...that's how the C.E.O. of the International Peace Garden would describe the moisture conditions at the garden after heavy rains this past fall.
Doug Hevenor says any runoff this spring that occurs will be surface runoff.

 

 

Hevenor adds a good thaw on the fields areas in February left a hard ice layer on top of the snow, noting quite a bit of water still has to be moved from the property.

 He says they lowered the level at Lake Udall so it could take more water coming out of the garden this spring.
