Brent Wold scored a powerplay goal with seven seconds left in the third period to lift the Portage Terriers past the Selkirk Steelers 3-2. Shaquille Merasty and Mike Gemmell also scored for the Terriers who lead the Manitoba Junior Hockey League's best-of-seven final for the Turnbull Trophy two games to one. Adam Stoykewych and Chris De la lande replied for the Steelers who will host game four on Friday. Selkirk goaltender Joey Rewucki stopped 40 shots while Portage netminder Kirk Coswell faced 31 shots.
