It's one of only three exhibitions in the world to receive the designation of "Royal", which it received from Queen Elizabeth the 2nd in 1970  Farm Broadcaster Kelvin Heppner and I visited the Royal Winter Fair in Brandon on Monday.  We both brought our cameras, and he has already posted some twenty pictures on his Manitoba Farm Journal Facebook site.  As expected, for a fair which is 104 years young, there is a lot to enjoy and experience.  There is everything from the Royal Farmyard where I saw a sheep being sheared, to machinery displays, all sorts of entrepeneurs hawking their wares, and then the smell of great food. That's what caught my attention in the Manitoba Room, and it was there that I met Chef Landry, who is presenting three cooking shows daily.  The Chef will be focusing on the a variety of made in Manitoba products, including Bison
