This week's winter storm has impacted a show being hosted by the drama troupe at Killarney School.

For the past number of months students and staff at Killarney School have been working on their latest production The Addams Family and their opening performance was Thursday night. However, Friday saw school cancelled because of poor roads and Friday's show was called off.

Teacher Wendy Lovett is into her 23rd year helping with the production and is the show’s director. “We did get Thursday night in and had a really good crowd but had to cancel tonight (Friday) and because of that we’ve added a Sunday matinee for the first time ever.”

“Our Saturday night performance will start at 7:30 p.m. and some people have their tickets already but there’s always tickets available. Anyone with a ticket for tonight they can come on Sunday at 2p.m. to the matinee show. If someone has a ticket for tonight (Friday) and they can’t make Sunday’s show we can accommodate them on Saturday night,” said Lovett.

The cast and crew of 45 have put in about 150 hours of rehearsal time getting ready for this week’s shows.
