The executive and team representatives of the Tiger Hills Hockey League have begun planning towards a restart of the 2020-21 season.

If Hockey Manitoba gets the green light from the province, the THHL is hoping teams can get on the ice around January 15th.

The latest date the league would be able to drop the puck on the restart is January 22nd. Anything after that date would result in the season being cancelled.

A revised schedule in the works would see each team play one game against their division rival. The West Division teams would play five games and the East Division teams would play six. The games played before the season was suspended would not count.

If play does resume there will not be a number of games played rule for playoff eligibility.

The playoff format will be decided at a later date.

The Melita Bisons advised the league that they would not be part of the restart.

The Boissevain Border Kings, Cartwright Clippers, Deloraine Royals, Gladstone Lakers, Hartney Blues, Killarney Shamrocks, MacGregor Wild, Minnedosa Bombers, Neepawa Farmers, Pilot Mound Pilots, Souris Elks, Wawanesa Jets and Virden Oil Kings have confirmed they will be ready to go when the season resumes.
