Forwards Adam Ingram and Josh Filmon of Winnipeg and goaltenders Tyler Brennan of Winnipeg and Reid Dyck of Winkler heard their name called Friday at the 2022 NHL Draft in Montreal.

Ingram plays for the USHL’s Youngstown Phantoms and was chosen by the Nashville Predators in round three.

Brennan plays for the Prince George Cougars and was selected by New Jersey in the fourth round.

Filmon plays for the Swift Current Broncos and was taken by New Jersey in round four.

Dyck plays for the Swift Current Broncos and was chosen by the Boston Bruins in the sixth round.

Three Manitobans were taken in round one Thursday night.

The Arizona Coyotes drafted Winnipeg Ice forward Connor Geekie of Strathclair 11th overall.

The Columbus Blue Jackets selected Moose Jaw Warriors defenseman Denton Mateychuk of Dominion City with the 12th overall pick.

The Pittsburgh Penguins chose Swift Current defenseman Owen Pickering of St. Adolphe at number 21.

Geekie was one of three Ice players selected in the draft.

Matthew Savoie went ninth over all to the Buffalo Sabres and Mikey Milne was chosen in the third round by the Minnesota Wild.
