On June 25 Brandon RCMP received two reports of break and enters, and a house fire, at rural properties in the RM of Whitehead.

Officers responded to all the incidents, and the ensuing investigation determined that several suspects were breaking into rural properties, and that firearms had been stolen. At one location, the home was set on fire. Nobody was home at the time of the fire and there were no injuries.

The suspects were seen fleeing the scene in a stolen vehicle. Brandon Police Service located the vehicle at a residence in the city, recovered the stolen firearms, and took two males and a female into custody. RCMP then attended Brandon Police Service cells and arrested the three for the break and enters, thefts, and arson.

Three people from Brandon, all in their early 20’s, are charged with Break and Enter, Arson, Possess Firearms Knowing Unauthorized x 3, and Possess Property Obtained by Crime x3.

They are remanded in custody.
