The Royal Manitoba Winter Fair (RMWF) is one of Western Canada's largest Ag events, and the largest event hosted by the Provincial Exhibition - held in Brandon each spring.  It's coming to the Keystone Centre at the end of March, coinciding with Spring Break!

The Winter Fair is one of only two fairs in Canada to receive Royal designation from Queen Elizabeth II and has been recognized as one of the Top 100 Events in North America, where you can see world-class show jumping, heavy horse competitions, livestock sales and displays, a quality hands-on agricultural education program , exceptional live entertainers, over 300 commercial and agricultural exhibits, and much more!

"We've got the entertainment booked and we've got exciting new things, the trade show is going to be full and staff was really busy getting sponsorships yet and starting to paint and get everything ready and freshened up for the Fair," shares President Kathy Cleaver. "It's just coming into really busy season right now. but I anticipate a really good fair!"

Cleaver says they had strong numbers at last year's Winter Fair and are expecting the number of attendees to be strong again!

"Crowd-wise we're expecting pretty good numbers because obviously restrictions are by the wayside now and everybody will be eager to get back out for sure again."

"People are looking for these kinds of events and some of these kids haven't been out much so there's lots for them to see and learn in Ag awareness," continues Cleaver.  "What we do is showcase agriculture. It's a needed thing to get these kids out and learn where their food comes from."

"It surprises me the people that stop me, when they learn I'm part of the fair, they say 'Oh we go to that fair! We can't wait! it's so exciting! Yeah, there's lots of different people in Brandon and the surrounding area who are really excited to go and see the animals at the Fair!" 

The Royal Manitoba Winter Fair will be held at the Keystone Centre March 27-April 1, 2023
