The Southwest Cougars have lost back-to-back games for the third time this season. Southwest gave up three shorthanded goals and dropped a 6-4 decision to the Thrashers in Winnipeg. The Thrashers also scored twice with the manadvantage. Cody Doyle had a pair of goals for the Cougars who trailed 4-1 after forty minutes. Hudson Morrison and Daylon Creasy also scored for Southwest. Brian Archibald stopped 23 of 28 Thrashers shots. The Cougars, who lost 3-2 in a shootout to the Eastman Selects Saturday in Beausejour are 19-7-0-1 and lead the Brandon Wheat Kings by just two points in the race for top spot in the Manitoba "AAA" Midget Hockey League's West Division. Southwest will play it's final game before the Christmas break Wednesday in Morden against the Pembina Valley Hawks.
