The town of Minto will be celebrating their 125th Anniversary this summer!  The Minto-125 planning committee has been working hard to plan for the end of July a festival to commemorate this historical milestone, starting with monthly meetings from early winter.

"We're still in the planning stages, but we have quite a few activities planned over the course of the weekend," shares committee member, Kerri Davis.

The committee aligned the weekend of events with the community Sports Day, an annual baseball tournament that draws local teams.

The weekend will kick off with a bonfire on Friday night, July 28th.  From there the Saturday and Sunday will be filled with family friendly fun, including a street dance, community supper, the baseball tournament, town scavenger hunt, pancake breakfast and a Show and Shine!

Davis says they're hoping for between 150-200 people to celebrate with them.

They've applied for grants to help with the expenses, as well as partnering with their local Rec department to purchase shirts and sweaters with their logo to sell over the next few months to raise more money.
