The curtain was drawn on the 2011 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge on Tuesday night in Winnipeg. A record crowd of 12,060 watched Ontario beat the United States 5-3 in the gold medal game at MTS Centre. The attendance for the seven-day tournament which was also held at MTS Iceplex in Winnipeg and at the PCU Centre in Portage la Prairie was 45,066. The World Under-17 Hockey Challenge will return to our province in 2012.
