The voting process for two new members to join the Board of Directors for Westoba Credit Union has begun.

"I encourage all Westoba Members in District 1 and 3 to cast their votes," says Rick Lussier, Chair of Westoba's Governance Committee.

District 1 covers the Brandon/MAXA area.

District 3 includes Killarney/Ninette/Cartwright/Swan Lake/Pilot Mound and Winnipeg

"We have excellent candidates running with a variety of different skills; the Board is specifically interested in attracting new Directors with experience in agriculture, business, human resources, information technology, and organization development," he shares.  "Please take some time to review all candidate qualifications and make your selection."

"Certainly our candidates will have their area of expertise in at least one or two of those areas, and hopefully more, just to help round off the skill set for the existing directors," adds Lussier.

Nine members make up the Board of Directors, three Directors from each District.

"We are so excited that people are willing to step up and help Westoba conduct its business for the future!  I encourage all members to go out and vote if you're from District 1 or 3," he shares.  "This is designed to help shape your Credit Union, the Credit Union that you own."

The process of voting the new Board of Director members closes at noon on March 25th.   Election results will be released in advance of the Westoba Credit Union Annual General Meeting, April 25th, 2022.
