The Brandon Wheat Kings scored three times in the third period but couldn't carry that momentum into overtime. Brandon failed to score in extra time, then went 0-for-3 in the shootout and dropped a 5-4 decision to the Saskatoon Blades. Scott Glennie, Michael Ferland and Brenden Walker did the goal scoring in the third for the Wheat Kings who rallied from a 4-1 deficit to salvage a single point. David Toews had a first period goal for Brandon. Glennie, Ferland and Matt MacKay were unsuccessful in their shootout attempts. Blades forward Jake Trask was the only skater to score in the shootout beating Corbin Boes who stopped 35 of 39 shots. The Wheat Kings will wrap up their three-game Saskatchewan road trip tonight when they meet the Raiders in Prince Albert.
