Lakeside Christian School wants to make some improvements
Lakeside Christian School in Killarney did a major addition in 2016 and the board is now considering the possibility of making some internal upgrades at the school. Principal Nancy Reimer says they made their final mortgage payment in May of 2023 and the addition is paid off. “So, this year we started looking to see what the next need is here at the school and our library and kitchen areas need some updating so we’re starting to fund raise for that specific space in the school.” “We want to make those spaces more functional, and we hope to have some quotes back sometime over the next few months so, we’ll know more probably by the end of May. Reimer says in finalizing the plan they need to look at the needs of the school. “We know the space we have, and we’re just starting to look and plan on how we can make that space more functional.” Enrollment at Lakeside Christian School remains steady with 65 students attending classes this year. Nancy Reimer hopes they can get work on the project started sometime in 2024.
