The Winnipeg Jets rallied from 3-1 and 5-2 deficits but couldn't finish the deal and lost 6-5 to the Minnesota Wild Tuesday at MTS Centre.

Jason Zucker scored the winner with 2:10 remaining in regulation for the visitors.

"It's not always fair in this league I guess," said Winnipeg captain Blake Wheeler. "I wouldn't say that we grossly outplayed them and deserved a better fate. I think you have to take some positives out of the fact that we battled back from a couple deficits. We would have liked to at least get that into overtime."

Mathieu Perreault started the Jets rally as he scored with 2:23 left in the middle frame.

Joel Armia and Mark Scheifele beat Wild netminder Daarcy Kuemper 1:42 apart midway through the third period to tie the game at 5-5.

Patrik Laine and Adam Lowry also scored for Winnipeg.

The Jets, who have allowed three goals or more in 22 of their past 27 games, will play their second of a six-game homestand Friday against the St. Louis Blues.
