Sam Reinhart scored three times as the Buffalo Sabres defeated the Winnipeg Jets 4-2 Sunday at MTS Centre.

Marcus Foligno scored the go-ahead goal 4:12 into the third period as the Sabres snapped a season high six-game losing skid.

“I thought we had a really good focus from the start," said Winnipeg forward Blake Wheeler who ended his 12-game scoreless drought. "It looked like our team was where it needed to be. I think we did a lot of good things, just didn’t go our way tonight.”

Mathieu Perreault also scored for the Jets who outshot Buffalo 44-29.

Bryan Little drew assists on both Winnipeg goals.

The game marked the return Evander Kane and Zach Bogosian.

Both were dealt to Buffalo last February for Drew Stafford, Joel Armia and Tyler Myers.

The Jets (19-20-3) host the San Jose Sharks and the Nashville Predators on Thursday before facing the Minnesota Wild in St. Paul on Friday night.
