Patrik Laine scored his 42nd and 43rd goals of the season and Connor Hellebuyck made 28 saves as the Winnipeg Jets defeated the Dallas Stars 4-2 Sunday night at Bell MTS Centre.

Of his 79 career goals, Laine has scored 14 times against the Stars.

"I think I'm just pretty lucky against Dallas," said Laine who is tied with Washington Capitals captain Alexander Ovechkin for the NHL goal scoring lead and also extended his point streak to 15-games. "I don't know why but it's too bad we're not playing against Dallas anymore this season. There's a chance we're going to meet in the playoffs so why not."

Ben Chariot and Blake Wheeler also scored for the Jets who tied a franchise record for wins in a season with 43.

Mattias Janmark and Jamie Benn replied for the Stars.

Forwards Mark Scheifele and Adam Lowry along with defenseman Toby Enstrom returned to the Winnipeg lineup on Sunday.

Scheifele missed five games with an upper-body injury; Lowry sat out 19 games with a shoulder injury and Enstrom missed four games with a lower-body injury.

The Jets (43-19-10), who have won the first two games of their six game homestand, face the Los Angeles Kings on Tuesday.
