Kyle Okposo scored twice and Robin Lehner made 37 saves as the Buffalo Sabres defeated the Winnipeg Jets 3-1 Sunday afternoon at MTS Centre.

Brian Gianta also scored for the Sabres who owned a 3-0 lead until Nik Ehlers beat Buffalo netminder Robin Lehner at 4:49 of the third period.

"We want to win every single game and I think that we all stepped up," said Ehlers. "I mean, even today we played a good game and played hard for the full 60. We used our speed and our skill to get the puck to the net. We weren't lucky in the first few periods and we had some great chances to make it 2-3, so I think we just gotta take all the good stuff from this game and keep going."

Michael Hutchinson, who backstopped Winnipeg to a 1-0 victory over the Colorado Avalanche Friday in Denver, allowed three goals on just 15 shots before he was replaced by Connor Hellebuyck with just over six minutes left in the second period.

The Jets, who have yet to win back-to-back home games this season, will meet the Washington Capitals at MTS Centre on Tuesday.
