Thirteen Assiniboine Community College students won medals at the 19th Annual Skills Manitoba Competition, which took place last week in Winnipeg.

“Win or lose, the single greatest asset that every competitor leaves every competition with is confidence; ‘I can do this’, ‘I can chart my course’, ‘I can make a difference’,” said George MacLean, Dean of Trades & Technology at ACC. “It has been extremely rewarding to watch students go from apprehension to self assurance through this wonderful program.”

Thirty ACC students from a variety of skilled trades and technology programs competed this year, bringing home four gold, six silver and three bronze medals.
