The mayor of the Municipality of North Norfolk says they had a lot of great things happening in their area this year. Neil Christoffersen notes they partnered with the Water Services Board through the Yellowhead Water Coop and did a major expansion of the Austin water plant, adding they also upgraded many of the pumps within the system. Christoffersen says another major highlight was finishing off the expansion of the rural water lines around Austin.

He notes community volunteers in MacGregor really stepped forward to fix up Centennial Park in conjunction with plans for the upcoming celebration in 2017. Christoffersen adds in 2015 the MacGregor fire department raised funds and purchased an off-road rescue vehicle for use in the municipality.

He says North Norfolk has also seen quite a number of subdivisions going and the municipality has replaced several pieces of equipment. Christoffersen notes the biggest highlight of 2015, however, is the way everyone on their staff has worked together to make amalgamation as seamless as possible for the services they supply. He congratulates all members of the staff for doing such a superb job.
