A bible camp in southwestern Manitoba is gearing up for another busy summer of week long camping sessions.

Turtle Mountain Bible Camp between Deloraine and Boissevain will be busy hosting hundreds of campers this summer.
Camp Director Howard Weir says staff started moving out to the camp last week. One new program they want to try is a college and career retreat on the May long weekend. He hopes that new event will help to bring more people to camp.

Turtle Mountain Bible Camp averages about 650 campers each summer.

That group is also busy fund raising so construction can start at the end of this camping season on a new dining hall and kitchen.

“The existing facility is aging and needs replacing so we are working hard to raise the funds needed to get phase one going” said Howard Weir.
