The Communities in Bloom judges will arrive in Boissevain on Thursday.

They'll then move onto Killarney and the International Peace Garden.

Boissevain-Morton Mayor Ed Anderson explains his community has been part of the competition for over two decades.

“This is our 22nd year in this international competition,” he said. “Before that we were in the provincial competition and we won that several times...We are the international champions five times.”

Anderson himself has been involved with the competition for those same 22 years.

He notes they won the international title last year and are looking to defend that honour this year.
