On March 6, 2015 at approximately 1:00 am, Blue Hills RCMP responded to a two vehicle collision on Hwy#10, a few kilometres south of the city of Brandon.

The investigation has determined that a southbound 2006 gray Acura TL rear ended another vehicle at a high rate of speed, causing it to flip on the roadway.

After the collision, the male driver of the Acura fled on foot. The Acura was later reported as a stolen vehicle to the Brandon Police Service.

The driver of the other vehicle, a 41 year old female from the RM of Sifton MB, had 3 fingers amputated as a result of the collision. A 20 year old male passenger in her vehicle suffered minor injuries.

The suspect is described as a 40 year old male, approximately 5'10" of medium build and wearing a black hoody.
