Killarney’s Lakeside Golf Club is celebrating 100 years of serving their community on the greens!

Board member, Laurie Campbell, says it’s exciting to reach this milestone for the Killarney Club.

“We’re pretty excited because we have lots to celebrate,” she shares. “Our course is in great shape and we have a great team there.  We’ve decided to create a Board sub-team that is putting together events and activities for the celebration of 100 years.”

The club is gearing up for a full day of celebrations on Saturday, September 25th with a parade of golf carts followed by a kids’ carnival. A family BBQ will lead to folks getting into ‘the swing of things’ in a 9-hole scramble!

Campbell says the golf season got off to a slow start due to Covid regulations, however both the course and the clubhouse restaurant have seen a steady increase of visitors.

Excitement is mounting for the committee as they continue to plan for the September Saturday.  Campbell encourages as many golf carts to join in the community parade – decorated ‘to the nines!’ of course!
