An amalgamation vote will be held in Boissevain on Monday evening.

Members of Boundary Co-op will be voting on a proposed amalgamation between Boundary and Killarney-Cartwright Co-ops. Both boards voted on September 20th to proceed with amalgamation but it’s subject to membership approval.

Boundary members vote Monday and Killarney-Cartwright members are set to vote Tuesday night.

The amalgamation must be approved by a two thirds majority of the members at the amalgamation vote. If approved the new Co-op would carry the Boundary name, have more than 8,000 members, serve five communities and 16 locations.

Annual sales would top the $65 million mark.

Monday’s meeting at the Legion Hall in Boissevain will start at 7:00pm.
