RCMP have released more details about a two-vehicle collision late Wednesday afternoon.

The accident occurred at a rural road intersection in the R.M. of Stanley, west of Highway 32, about 1 and a half miles
from where a serious head-on collision took place Sunday, sending nine people to hospital.

RCMP say an eastbound pickup collided with a southbound SUV.

The driver of the pickup was ejected from the vehicle. He was taken to Boundary Trails Health Centre by ground ambulance, prior to being flown by STARS Air Ambulance to Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg.  As of yesterday, he was listed in critical condition.

RCMP could not confirm where the male is from or his age.

The driver of the SUV, a 34-year-old female from Deloraine, was taken to BTHC by ground ambulance with non-life threatening injuries.  As of yesterday, she was in stable condition.

The drivers were the lone occupants of the vehicles.

RCMP say a traffic analyst attended the scene, and the investigation indicates the driver of the pick-up failed to yield to the SUV.

Alcohol was not involved.
