A period of cold wind chills has arrived in Southern Manitoba.

Temperatures below minus 30 and winds of 10 to 20 km/h have brought dangerous wind chills of minus 40 to parts of Southwestern Manitoba this morning. The dangerous wind chills will end this morning as temperatures moderate.

Dress warmly and in layers so you can remove if you get too warm. The outer layer should be wind resistant.

And a reminder if it's too cold for you to stay outside, it's too cold for your pet to stay outside.

The cold conditions won’t be around too long as Tuesday’s daytime high is -5 and Plus 1 is in the forecast for Wednesday’s high.
