Environment Canada reports several tornadoes touched down in the Manitou and Treherne area on Wednesday afternoon.

Two landspout tornadoes, with a weaker rotation, were sighted east and to the northwest of the community.
Another was seen about 10 kilometers south of Treherne. There are no reports of damage.

In addtion, numerous funnel clouds were reported Wednesday near Pilot Mound eastwards, including La Riviere, Manitou, Winkler and Altona.

Environment Canada says a complex of thunderstorms moving eastwards along the international border late in the afternoon generated the tornadoes.
Radar information indicates about 100 mm of rain fell about 3km north of Manitou and a similar amount was tracked 12 kilometers northeast of Glenboro.
