A Gladstone resident is hoping many come out to his meeting, where they'll discuss the implementation of a Citizens On Patrol Program. Douglas Bordman has been hoping to create the group, after multiple nights of criminal activity in the community. He's hoping to see a large turnout at the event, in hopes of establishing the program.

"We just hope a lot of people come, support it, and can donate their time. If we could put it in place, it would help because the police are a bit short handed and they're about 25 or 30 minutes away, so it would help."

Bordman says there's a sense of frustration in the community, following some incidents in the community. He hopes that will bring more people out to take part in the program.

"We had two major nights of crime out here, within about a four day spread. I think that will inspire more people to try come out and support the group."

The meeting is set for Wednesday night at 7 pm. It'll take place the municipal office, located at the west side of town.
