Everyone has the opportunity with Crime Stoppers Manitoba to be a crime stopper. Over twenty five years and more than thirteen thousand tips later Manitoba Crime Stoppers continues to work along side communities, the media and police agencies to better life across the province.

Since 1985 your tips have been a valuable tool in ensuring your communities are a safe place to live. The Crime Stoppers Board is composed of civilian Directors from various areas of the Province, along with an RCMP Police Coordinator responsible for forwarding tips to police agencies. The organization is not for profit and community owned. The principal of Crime Stoppers is that for every crime committed someone other than the criminal knows something about it.

The Foundation provides a safe avenue to anonymously share valuable information with police agencies about crime in your community. You do not have to reveal your identity to solve a crime. Remember that Crime stoppers does not subscribe to call display, will not record your call, and you will not be called upon to testify in court. If your information leads to an arrest you could qualify for up to two thousands dollars in cash reward. Your tips do make a difference in helping solve crime, keeping your community safe.

Manitoba Crime stoppers is always looking for more volunteers to join in the fight against crime. As a volunteer Board member you will be responsible for promoting Crime Stoppers in your particular area. This may include visiting local law enforcement, schools, media and town councils. You will represent your area at Board meetings and share concerns and ideas toward enhancing activities that promote their goals. Directors are expected to attend Board meetings, which can be held four or five times a year. Your travel and other associated expenses would be covered by the Board. An applicant should be outgoing, personable and willing to raise their profile in their community as an ambassador of the Crime Stoppers message.
