There is still a strong demand for services offered by the food bank in Killarney.

The food bank opens its door every Friday afternoon for a couple of hours between 2:30 and 4:30pm. “We average about a dozen people. Some weeks it might be eight and the next week 14” said Food Bank President Audrey Feader.

One bright spot for the food bank is the shelves and the amount of food items in their building. “Our shelves are full thanks to recent food drives and support from the community.”

Feader isn't sure why their numbers have remained steady or perhaps even gone up slightly but she is pleased they have lots of food to meet the demand.
