The 1894 Art Centre in Boissevain has a new exhibit being showcased this summer.

“Cultivating The Creative” was opened to the public on Canada Day.

1894 Co-Owner Casey Guenther explains what it's all about.

“Our summer show is a collaboration of two local artists. Terryl Mogk Stone, she's a photographer from the area, as well as Don Engbrecht, and he does metal sculptures. Their work really focuses on our place, the prairies and agriculture as well.”

Guenther says both Terryl and Don are from the Boissevain area.

He says Terryl's photos focus on scenes from the prairies, including landscapes and harvest time images.

Don uses scrap metal to create a wide range of object,s which include flying insects and large flowers.

“Cultivating The Creative” will be showcased at the 1894 Art Centre in Boissevain until the end of August.
