An MLA from Western Manitoba will be busy with budget estimates.

Arthur-Virden MLA Doyle Piwniuk is Deputy Speaker of the Manitoba Legislature and he chairs one of the three estimate sessions.

“The next step that we through moving forward with the budget is the opposition has up to 100 hours to question ministers about the money being allocated and how it is being spent.”

Piwniuk chairs one of the sessions and two of his colleagues chair the other sessions. “Each of the committee rooms will have one minister and one critic and they will go back and forth talking about the budget.”

Piwniuk added most of the time its like and question and answer session just to get everything on the record.
