The Mothers’ Day kick-off event at the International Peace Garden well attended.

Mothers’ Day at the International Peace Garden is traditionally the start to the summer tourism season for the popular tourist spot south of Boissevain.

Sunday's program included the buffet, entertainment tours and a chance to see the cactus exhibit in full bloom.

Guests checked out the conservatory with over 6,000 cactus and succulents as well as the adjoining courtyard. Orchards were in full bloom including the popular fragrant “Chocolate Orchard”. The North American Game Warden Museum is ready to host visitors this summer and has a new exhibit the International Game Warden “Hastings Magazine” display.

The Peace Garden expects a busy summer with many new events starting in June with the Gardening Days, June 17 and 18th. Check out the web site www.peacegarden.com or 1-888-432-6733.
