The following is the RCMP report to May 5, 2015.  This reporting period, police responded to the following calls for service.
- 21 traffic violations
- 3 traffic accidents
- 6 provincial statute (Mental Health Act, Fire Prevention Act, Coroner's Act, 911 Act)
- 7 common police activities (alarms, suspicious persons/vehicles, assistance to general public)
- 6 crimes against property
- 4 crimes against person
- 1 impaired driver
 
April 29, 2015
Police received a report of mischief to some farm equipment in the RM of Turtle Mountain.  The matter is under investigation.
 
A bike was turned into the detachment and can be claimed by description.
 
April 30, 2015
Police were dispatched to a 2 vehicle accident on Highway 5.  A vehicle failed to stop at the stop sign while westbound and struck a southbound vehicle.  Two people were taken to Killarney hospital with minor injuries and the male driver of the other vehicle was charged with disobeying a stop sign.
 
May 2, 2015
Police were called out to report of an intoxicated driver that had been returned to the Canadian side of the border by US customs. The male was issued tickets for open liquor and driving without a drivers license. 
 
Police were dispatched regarding liquid fertilizer tanks leaking onto a farmer's field just south of Minto.  Police attended scene and Boissevain fire department was able to neutralize any potential threat to people and the environment by diluting the liquid fertilizer with water.
 
Police assisted with a matter under the Mental Health Act in Killarney.
March 3, 2015
Police were dispatched at 12:26 a.m. to a single vehicle rollover on highway 5.  Police were then dispatched to a higher priority call so the matter is under investigation as police attended the scene later and gathered evidence.
 
Police were dispatched at 12:29 a.m. to a domestic assault in Baldur.  A male subject was arrested and charged with assault.  He was released on a Promise to Appear and Undertaking to appear in court at a later date. 
 
Police assisted with a matter under the Family Relations Act in Killarney.

Police received several reports of mischief in Boissevain overnight. 
 
A report of a stolen canoe from Boissevain was received.  The canoe was later recovered at the kinsmen park.  
 
A report of theft in Baldur was received.  The matter is under investigation.
 
May 5, 2015
Police received a report of damage to several signs in Killarney.  It appears as though a vehicle hit several stop signs.  If you know of someone with unexplained damage to their vehicle, please contact Killarney RCMP.  If it was you,  please turn in your license to police to be shredded.  You......are a terrible driver!!!
 
Police received a report of a break and enter to a shed in the RM of Argyle as well as damage to a deck and some items were stolen.   The matter is under investigation.
 
Police received a report of a truck that passed a school bus when the red flashers and stop sign was deployed while loading students at Deloraine School.  The matter is being investigated and charges are pending. 
 
Police want to remind the motoring public, if you bump, back into, ram, slide, swerve into another vehicle - you are obligated to stop, not drive off - and locate the owner of the other vehicle or exchange details.  Simply driving away is not the answer.

Criminal Record Checks and Vulnerable Sector Searches:
Our goal is to complete these checks in a timely manner, however please plan ahead as they can take up to 3 weeks to complete.
 
Please also remember that Criminal Checks and Vulnerable Sector Searches for volunteers must provide a letter from the organization stating their volunteer status or there will be a $10.00 fee.
Criminal Record Checks for employment are $10.00 each.
 
Police would like to remind the public that if anyone requires fingerprinting services, they must make an appointment at the Killarney RCMP detachment.  Drop-ins cannot be accommodated.
 
We would like to advise that the business hours of operation at the Killarney Detachment are 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.
 
The Boissevain RCMP business hours are Monday and Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
 
The Deloraine RCMP business hours are  Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
 
The general public is encouraged to attend during those hours to ensure someone will be here. It is also recommended to call ahead, however, in the event of an emergency, call 911 or the emergency line.
